Prosthetic X is a speculative project by designer Isaac Monté and In4Art. Prosthetic X showcases an artificial “data organ” with interactive aesthetic prosthetics that can be worn and provide insight into personal health data. The opening night will be during Hoogtij. The installation exists of 10 interactive prosthetics, a speculative scenario film and a ‘Data Donor Register’.
Prosthetic X is a project about the future of healthy aging in which art and technology intersect, opening the dialogue about e-health and data privacy. It speculates how non-invasive health tracking tools could give us insight into social, mental and physical health. It would empower empathy, celebrate knowledge and combat the threat of loneliness, isolation and health conditions for an aging population. The shadows of aging would fade away and unleash a new beauty ideal.
