The Hague Contemporary considers the unique visual arts field of The Hague as an inspiring, meaningful and crucial environment for the city that offers an alternative view of the world, questions existing systems, tackles social issues and contributes to pleasure in life, personal development and the improvement of your living environment as a resident of the city.
The Hague Contemporary offers a collective space to contemporary art institutions and initiatives in The Hague to improve the visibility of their activities and programming and to reach newer and broader target groups. We are the eyes and ears of the city, our antenna is always active and we have the unique feature of having a ‘helicopter view’. We do not do this alone. By working together with our partners from the cultural field, an overarching network has emerged as we are up to date on what is happening in the different layers of The Hague’s art scene.
The Hague Contemporary considers its mission to be the making of contemporary art in The Hague more accessible for culture lovers, young people, local residents, expats, tourists and (potential) art buyers and collectors and thus give the quality, experimentation & research and innovative power of contemporary art in The Hague a common platform.
Whether you are a company, private individual or a fund, your support enables The Hague Contemporary to continue to fulfill its important role in the city’s contemporary art scene.
We are convinced that everyone should have access to contemporary art. That is why we want to be able to continue to offer free access to the annual The Hague Contemporary Art Weekend. Do you share this view? Then consider making a one-time donation. Every amount, large or small, contributes to a more vital and inclusive contemporary art sector in The Hague.
The Hague Contemporary has a cultural ANBI status, which means you can deduct up to 125% of your donation from your tax return. The new Grant Act ensures that donations to Cultural ANBIs may be increased by 25% up to a maximum of € 5,000 per year. In addition to a one-time donation, you can also support The Hague Contemporary through a periodic donation.
With a periodic donation you annually donate an amount of money. You must pay this amount for five consecutive years. You can decide for yourself whether you pay the annual amount in one go each year or whether you pay the annual amount in instalments – for example monthly.
More information about supporting a non-profit organisation, donations and tax deductions can be found here.
